The Hawaiian Princess

Five stars for location and view but the 4 stars is generous when it came to decor. Couldn't close the bedroom curtains for privacy, which was a big sliding glass door. The place just needs some attention but it was a beautiful location for the views!

No matter what unit you rent you will have a fabulous view with amazing sunsets. We spotted whales and turtles everyday. Our unit, 708, in emaculatly decorated and appointed. It is a long drive with lots of traffic to go elsewhere on the island but if you want to just chill on the beach, this is your spot.

We loved our stay at the Hawaiian Princess in Makaha. It’s a perfect escape on the west side of the island—far from the hustle and busyness of Waikīkī, yet close enough to enjoy everything O‘ahu has to offer. While the surrounding area isn’t the most polished, the location itself is absolutely stunning. With tight security and a friendly staff presence, we never once felt unsafe. The condo was beautifully appointed, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But the real showstopper? The oceanfront view. Waking up to that beach every morning was worth the drive to the west side after our daily excursions. The sand, surf, and quiet atmosphere made it feel like our own private slice of paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed being a little removed from the city and soaking up the peaceful side of the island. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We booked two rooms to accommodate our family. I booked our corner unit based on the pictures advertised, with the wrap around lani facing the water and rock. When we checked in we ended up with the corner unit on the other end, that had a view of the beach and roof tops of neighboring buildings. That would be my only complaint. The condo was spacious, clean, stocked and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating, especially May! We would stay again. I loved that it was not in a busy area and the private beach. Until we meet again Hawaii, Mahalo!

Rented through Air BnB. Contact was very kind, friendly, conscientious, considerate and professional. Apartment was well maintained, clean and up to date. Easy access to pool. Beach and rec room with a ping pong table. On site staff friendly and helpful.

I stayed here as a time share owner. The building is on a private beach which is spectacular. The staff is really nice and the compound is gated with an on-site security guard. There are nearby shopping and eating facilities that you can walk to, but it may be best if you have transportation or catch the local bus. Overall, the living conditions were ok, but being right on the beach makes this complex well worth it!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our host thought of everything and our check in and check out were flawless. The AC was broken but with the trade winds and a portable AC unit in the bedroom, we were comfortable. The beach was not crowded and easily accessible. We did see Turtles in the evening and early morning. The security of the condos were very good. Only 4 stars due to the AC but we would stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this ground-floor condo in Hawaii! The location couldn’t be more perfect—you can step right out onto a private, uncrowded beach with breathtaking ocean views from every angle. The condo is fully stocked with everything you need, plus thoughtful extras that made our stay even more enjoyable: • An outdoor grill and picnic area overlooking the beach • Plenty of water toys and 2 beach chairs ready to use • Private balcony • An ocean-view hot tub and pool • Indoor ocean-view ping pong table The beach itself is a dream—ideal for fishing off the rocks at high tide, and great snorkeling during low tide. We felt very secure and loved the peaceful, quiet atmosphere away from the crowds. Inside the condo, no matter what you’re doing—cooking, eating, relaxing in the living room, doing dishes, or even laundry—you always have the ocean right in view. The staff was very helpful and personable, especially Marleen and a security guard (that I don’t remember his name unfortunately) The sunsets each evening were absolutely stunning and the highlight of every day! This condo truly made our first ever Hawaii trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
